Most of us have photos that are either slightly overexposed or underexposed. Fortunately, Photoshop provides an easy way to fix many of them.

Pull down the Image menu, choose Adjust, then Brightness/ Contrast. See how Brightness and Contrast each have sliding adjustments on the bottom of each line. Make sure the preview box is selected. Then slide the settings from one side to another to see how it changes the image. There is no particularly good or bad way to set the brightness and contrast, just adjust it to your eye. When you like it, click OK.
