Public Speaking & Story Screenings

Over the years, members of the Center’s staff have addressed issues of story and new media at countless organizational meetings, academic and professional conferences, and trade events on issues of story and new media. These presentations typically feature sample digital stories and reflection on the theoretical underpinnings of the work in various contexts, as well as writing exercises and group discussions about relevant applications of digital storytelling and other participatory media-making methods in community, health and human services, educational (higher education and K-12), and business settings.

In addition, members of our staff have more than 20 years of experience in performing and media arts event production. We are available to assist with end-to-end planning and logistical support for storytelling showcases to featuring stories created through our many partnerships. Possibilities include community-based screenings to raise awareness about and mobilize involvement in specific social issues; specially-curated programs for film festivals, conferences, benefits or celebrations; and more.
