Digital Storytelling Master Class

Emily Paulos

The art of digital storytelling has evolved over the last 20 years. StoryCenter's staff has always worked to deepen an understanding of what it takes to make a powerful and beautiful digital story. If you've made a digital story in one of our foundational workshops, the Digital Storytelling Master Class is an opportunity to further explore the form and process, as a way of recognizing and honing your own storytelling style. You will make another story as we take you through each part of the digital storytelling process in more detail and depth: how to talk about story, work in group and individual process, improve your writing and voice recording, and refine your image selection process and editing techniques.

This workshop includes

  • Writing Exercises

  • Story Circle Review and Assessment

  • Individual Script Support

  • Storyboard Techniques

  • In Depth Recording and Performance Coaching

  • Tutorials in One or More Editing Softwares

  • Advanced Editing Techniques and Visual Treatment Review

  • Final Story Screening

Participants receive a copy of Digital Storytelling: Capturing Lives, Creating Community, by our Executive Director Joe Lambert.
