The mobile media revolution has changed the world. Five hundred million people have iOS devices that can capture image, video, and sound that can be refined, edited, and shared from anywhere at anytime. Using mobile media allows for flexibility in conceiving, producing, and editing stories on the fly. This two-day workshop adapts our Digital Storytelling Workshop curriculum to enable participants to explore tools for iPhone photography and video editing. Participants will each produce a two- to three-minute personal video story on the iPhone platform.
This workshop includes
- Overview of history and practice of digital storytelling
- Story writing exercises and individual script review
- Recording voiceovers and gathering photographic material on photo walks
- Tutorial on editing video on iPhones
- Screening of final stories
