Intro to Recording & Editing
Sound-rich, Narrative Audio Stories
What are the secrets of a great audio story? How does it sound so good and keep us on the edge of our seats?
Great audio storytelling is a craft, and this workshop will help you learn the elements of audio narrative.
We will build and edit a sound-rich, narrative audio story. At the end of the four sessions, you will make a 4-5 minute narrative audio story with music, ambient sound, and narration supporting an interview, packaged into a story that brings all those elements together.
Although it is not required, it is suggested that participants take the Podcast Storytelling Workshop 1 first. It focuses on remote recording and interview skills, and is a great introduction to editing audio.
This workshop requires attendance at four 2-hour sessions, held on Mondays from November 3, 2025, to November 24, 2025. Each session begins at 11am Pacific Time/ 2pm Eastern Time.
Optional 1:1 meetings with instructors are available.
