Podcast Production Workshop

Emily Paulos

Listen to segments produced by previous workshop participants (with minimal or no previous podcasting experience), and tune in to StoryCenter’s new podcast, The Shortest Distance.

You have a great story, and you know how to tell it. The impact your podcast can have on the world is limited only by its production quality and your ability to share it. In this online workshop, you’ll learn the professional recording, editing, and marketing practices needed for your podcast to thrive.

The tools for recording and sharing your story get more accessible and affordable every day. But not everyone wants to cobble together a mix of generic online tutorials or tinker with different approaches. In this online workshop, you’ll focus on your own podcast in an engaged, small group setting, with support from a pair of instructors with years of podcasting and digital storytelling experience.

Over seven weeks, we will cover professional techniques and tricks used in high-quality audio recording and editing. We will walk you through the details of hosting and distribution, as well as the development of low-cost marketing plans. By the workshop’s conclusion, you will have established a customized, professional, and sustainable workflow and produced one polished segment for your podcast. You’ll be ready to get your podcast online with the tools and knowledge of a successful podcast producer.

PLEASE NOTE: Workshop start times may vary; visit our calendar for more details.
