Experience StoryCenter’s globally recognized workshop approach for developing personal narratives, building community, and honoring your life experience.
Over the course of two weeks, guided by experienced StoryCenter facilitators, you will craft and produce a two- to four-minute digital story based on a 300-word narration script.
This is the online version of the original project-based, in-person digital storytelling workshop.
It includes five group meetings, plus individual support. Through engagement in the workshop activities and individual assignments, participants will:
Identify a personal story for their project.
Craft a written narrative or script.
Create an audio recording of the narrative.
Assemble photos, video clips and sound files to accompany the voiceover.
Edit and finalize a video. All participants complete a video regardless of previous video editing experience.
The workshop requires attendance at five online sessions over two weeks: Monday, Jan 4; Wednesday, Jan 6; Friday, Jan 8; Monday, Jan 11; and Friday, Jan 15, 2027. Each session is two hours and begins at 9 am Pacific Time/ 11 am Eastern Time.
The workshop closes when registration reaches capacity.
